Inside Edition’s Senior Correspondent Les Trent caught up with Sarah Palin on the set of ABC TV’s ‘Match Game’
Palin was in-studio to tape episodes as a panelist on the game show revival that will air on ABC later this summer.
“I think it’s kind of an indication of people in kind of tumultuous times nowadays, wanting some comfort entertainment, like comfort food,” she said. “You know, they wanna go back to good times.”
The Governor couldn’t help but notice the 70’s retro-kitsch set design, “Hey, look at the shag carpet”, she exclaimed. “We probably should’ve all worn our bell bottoms.”
The divided politics of the 2016 election entered the discussion, with Palin saying, “You can’t just be a thumb-sucker and decide, ‘Oh, I’m not gonna show up, I’m going to stay home. I’m not even going to vote.’ Well, that’s the worst thing anybody can do.”
Sarah also shared a brief comment on the recent reconciliation between daughter Bristol and Dakota Meyer, and their surprise wedding last month. “That’s the best, man. Bristol and Dakota, and their little baby girl Sailor, it’s all good. Welcome to our family.”
Those hoping for any kind on-air confrontation between Sarah Palin and Rosie O’Donnell (who was a panelist on the premiere episode), will be disappointed. The video revealed that Palin’s fellow panelists will be Jack McBrayer, Leah Remini, Randall Park, JB Smoothe, and Kristen Chenoweth.
