Asked who he trusts more, Angela Merkel or Vladimir Putin, Trump said, “I start off trusting both. But we’ll see how long that lasts. It may not last long at all.”
The European Union is, “basically a vehicle for Germany.”
“NATO has problems. Number one; its obsolete, because it was designed many, many years ago. Number two; the countries weren’t paying what they’re supposed to pay.”
On European trade: “It’s not a two way street. How many Chevrolets do you see in Germany? Maybe, none.”
