A large percentage of the $1.7 billion in cash given to Iran by Barack Obama has been transferred to Hezbollah. Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran was forged with the provision that Iran would receive a massive influx of U.S. dollars in hard currency.
The worlds biggest state sponsor of terrorism has rerouted one third of that cash windfall to the terror group Hezbollah.
Last year, Barack Obama administration turned over $1.7 billion to Iran in two separate transactions. The first installment was $400 million in hard cash, flown out on a Revolutionary Guard plane in the dark of night. The transfer amounted to partial payment of a ransom of four Iranian-Americans and, when it was uncovered, the Obama administration said it was Iran’s money and it would be used to improve their economy.
The former president said the removal of sanctions, which included the release of these funds, was a goodwill gesture, not a ransom. He also released 21 or more Iranian spies as a goodwill gesture. Congress is now investigating that activity because it is said to have severely damaged his own counterterrorism unit.
After the transfer, then-secretary of state John Kerry admitted at least some of it would be used for terror. (Independent Sentinel)
Hezbollah has been listed by the United States as a terrorist organization since 1997. It has received funding, training, and material support from Iran continuously since 1982.
Barack Obama had to be fully aware that much of the money he gave to Iran would wind up in the hands of the many terror groups that Iran sponsors.
According to a Saudi Arabian newspaper report on April 25th, Hezbollah had received $600 million worth of Iranian aid. The Al-Youm newspaper reported that the aid was transferred almost completely in hard cash, and is being used for the terror group’s institutions and salaries paid to its terrorists and their families. The provisions of the Iranian nuclear deal have made Barack Obama fully complicit in the funding of terror groups. As president, he willingly aided and abetted acts of terror.
