Commander-in-Chief retrieves Marine’s windswept cap
President Trump often voices his respect for our men and women in uniform. Last night he demonstrated that respect with his actions.
Returning from the G20 summit, the President was about to board Marine One at Joint Base Andrews, when he noticed that the dress hat of a Marine guard had been blown to the ground. President Trump stopped to retrieve the hat and affectionately placed it atop the head of the at attention Marine.
When a gust of wind immediately took the cap again from the Marine’s head, the Commander-in-Chief dutifully recovered the hat once more, handing it to his military escort before boarding Marine One for the short ride back to the White House.
