For over three decades, if someone asked me ‘What’s your favorite sport to watch on television?’, I would answer without hesitation ‘NFL football’. Now, I don’t watch at all. Thanks to Colin Kaepernick, Roger Goodell, a host of rule changes, and a culture that spews anti-Americanism at every turn, I have turned off the National Football League and frankly, I really haven’t missed it one bit.
When the disgusting display of kneeling during our national anthem started last season, I chalked it up to a ‘San Francisco problem’. Kaepernick was the 49ers’ headache. Sure, it was sad to see the once classy Niners franchise known for true pros like Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Roger Craig, and Ronnie Lott decimated to a crew of losers known for hating cops and blowing ball games, but as a Chicago Bears fan I continued to tune in to the NFL week after week.
